TRIMET appoints Rolf Hempelmann as adviser

Mar 2, 2014 | TRIMET Aluminium SE, one of Germany’s leading producers of aluminum, is bolstering its representation in Berlin. Rolf Hempelmann will support the medium-sized, family-run business by advising it on energy management matters at political level.

Hempelmann was a member of the German Bundestag for almost 20 years and has made a name for himself as a cross-party expert in business and energy matters on the political stage. He will be on hand to guide the material specialist in the political discussion on energy in the same way he does for the energy supplier STEAG.

As an energy-intensive company, TRIMET is significantly affected by the restructuring of the supply of energy in Germany. By developing flexible production processes to adapt to a fluctuating power supply, TRIMET is making a constructive contribution to ensuring that the transformation of the energy system is a success while also safeguarding Germany as a location for industry.
