The aluminum sector meets at the TRIMET booth
TRIMET’s aluminum wire product line was among the main focal points of this year’s fair presentation. Dr. Luisa Marzoli, TRIMET Project Manager in Research and Development, presented a new variant of the EN AW-6082 alloy at the Aluminum 2016 Conference as part of the exhibition program. This is particularly resistant to intercrystalline corrosion, opening up new application fields for aluminum wires in automotive applications.
Energy efficiency is also a major concern of the aluminum sector. During the three days of the fair, many visitors to the TRIMET booth were informed about the innovative technologies for flexible load transfer through which the family-run company is adapting the electrolysis process to fluctuating amounts of renewable energy.
In addition to pioneering technologies and products, in-depth and cordial exchange between business partners and customers was of primary importance. A special highlight was the exhibitor evening on the Rhine ship “Ocean Diva” on the second day of the fair. About 1,000 industry professionals from around the world, including both longstanding and new partners of TRIMET, celebrated late into the night.
The ALUMINIUM, which takes place every two years in Düsseldorf, is the world’s most important trade fair for the aluminum industry. About 1,000 exhibitors from 58 nations presented the sector’s latest trends and developments from November 29 to December 1, 2016 at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Grounds.
