"Vision Zero": TRIMET gives additional momentum to work safety

“In all our work processes, we fundamentally adhere to strict safety standards and continuously strive for further improvements in the areas of safety and ergonomics. But one can always improve, and the health of our employees is a top priority. Therefore, we welcome the cooperation with the employers’ liability insurance association. It supports us with analyses, expertise and fresh approaches that we will gladly apply,” explained Essen plant manager Andreas Lützerath.
Within the framework of the cooperation, BG RCI experts will first conduct interviews with the Trimet Executive Board, plant managers, works councils and workplace safety officers to analyze current activities and measures in this area. Then, in joint workshops, targets and measures will be derived that will help to further optimize occupational safety. Together with the employees, specific activities for the production sites will be developed and subsequently adapted to local conditions. Detailed checklists will then be used to evaluate the effectiveness of the measures taken and to initiate further improvements.
