Dear employees,

Nov 26, 2018 | I would like to inform you today about a personnel change in TRIMET’s leadership. Philipp Schlüter will be moving from the Supervisory Board to the executive management of the company and become the CEO of TRIMET Aluminium SE. He replaces Dr. Martin Iffert, who is leaving our company by mutual agreement. The owner family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Iffert for his work. In addition, Dr. Andreas Lützerath, previously Plant Manager at TRIMET’s Essen site, will join the Executive Board as Technical Director.

At its meeting today, the Supervisory Board ratified these personnel changes. With Philipp Schlüter, a member of the owner family will once again be taking over the operational management of TRIMET with immediate effect.

TRIMET’s self-conception as a family business is thus also expressed at the top of senior management. We are pursuing a policy of continuity, consistently following the path that has made us successful since the company was founded: reliability towards customers and employees, sustainable growth and long-term security of livelihoods. This is the mission to which both Philipp Schlüter and the owner family are committed.

Philipp Schlüter has been responsible for retail trade and sales at TRIMET Schweiz AG for ten years, where he was also in charge of the areas risk management, raw material procurement and energy management. As the eldest son of Heinz-Peter Schlüter, he represented the owner family on the Supervisory Board as its Deputy Chairman following Heinz-Peter Schlüter’s death. Philipp Schlüter will remain Chairman of the Supervisory Board of TRIMET France SAS. He will continue to guide TRIMET under the values and principles that have always defined the company and have made it successful for more than 30 years as a family business: independence, a focus on sustainable growth, job security at all locations and successful economic activity.

Best regards,

Dr. Thomas Ludwig

Chairman of the Supervisory Board of TRIMET Aluminium SE
