TRIMET faces the corona crisis

30.04.2020

TRIMET Aluminium SE is doing everything in its power to maintain production in its aluminium smelters and foundries and to continue to supply its customers reliably. In doing so, the family business can rely on the outstanding commitment and responsible behavior of its employees. Their health as well as the prevention of new infections is a top priority for TRIMET.

The company has adapted its existing pandemic plans to the current requirements. This includes the organization of work shifts in the event of necessary isolation or quarantine of infected persons and contact persons, as well as the designation of crisis response teams to ensure the operation of the production facilities and the commercial area. This is particularly necessary in the aluminium smelters, which cannot be shut down at short notice and, even with an orderly shutdown, can only be put back into operation at very high financial and technical cost.

With their exemplary behavior, TRIMET employees have accepted responsibility for their colleagues as well as for the entire company. Applicable provisions governing the working environment and distance and hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to. In addition, TRIMET has separated the start of shifts in various departments to avoid any concurrences.

Without the commitment of our colleagues, things would not be running so smoothly at the TRIMET locations.
