The vocational training for refugees project is an initiative of TRIMET founder Heinz-Peter Schlüter and was born out of TRIMET’s self-conception as a family-owned company.
The aim of the project is to make it easier for 66 refugees to start their lives in a completely foreign country and give them prospects in their new homeland. Besides the vocational training and the measures aimed at promoting integration, the program includes preparatory entry-level qualifications and internships as well as accompanying language courses and vocational studies. Since August 2024, 66 refugees have successfully completed their training at TRIMET, and the company will continue the 'Vocational Training for Refugees' project in the future.
The project relies on the integrating power of industry. Industrial jobs give people from different social and cultural backgrounds long-term career prospects and enable them to lead a self-determined life in our society.
